So This Is What It Sounds Like When Doves Cry
Believe it or not, I had never seen Purple Rain. Until last night, that is. And I have to say, not only were the '80s completely embarrassing, but I cannot believe this movie won an Oscar. A Grammy, ok, I get it. It's Prince. But the movie really sucked. It was somewhat entertaining, but what a cornball, misogynist piece of crap.
Doves may have pride, but apparently Apollonia does not. I would have left Prince after the episode at the lake, and that would have been that.

Having lived close to Minneapolis, having a friend who actually set up Prince's home stereo and made many an A/V visit to Paisley Park studios, as well as having met one of his former dancers who had like 6 kids from different fathers, I would have to say you just don't understand the mentality it takes to hang out with the Purple One. That is, no mentality at all.
Having said that, Prince is a typical rock star. He acts like I would expect all rock stars to act. And people feed that, so he can live it.
