Holy Shit, I'm Cabling!
Got fed up with the lace handwarmers I was working on, and like Manna from Heaven this gorgeous Malabrigo yarn appeared, a Christmas gift from Patita, and I decided to finally give cabling a try. I'm pretty pleased with the results thus far, though slightly distracted by the fact that I've now also cast on for another attempt at some socks for Adam.

Oh man, that stuff is working up like a dream! I love the fact that it's got so much depth and variation in the color but you can still see the stitch definition in the cables.

And the photo doesn't even do it justice; there are these cool little mini-stripes that happen here and there, and it's sooooo soft. I can't wait to wear these babies...

Gorgeous, gorgeous! I love the color. (And isn't cabling magical?)

Yummy. Nice mitts. I like the cables, but purple makes them shine. I've been spotted oogling the Malabrigio in the only local spot where I've found it. It had a really nice burgandy and purples colorway. Ah, someday...
